Coldplay have been nominated for German music award 'Echo'. The band are nominated in the category 'Group of the year (international)' along with fellow nominees:

- Bon Jovi

- Coldplay

- Depeche Mode

- Rolling Stones

- The Black Eyed Peas

A jury will decide on the winner and the basis for the decision is the question of the band with the most successful album in Germany between the 01.03.2005 - 15.02.2006, that means, best chart position (media control).
