Coldplay Nominated For 'International Album of the Year' - JUNO Awards 2009

Coldplay have been nominated for the International Album of the Year award at Canada's JUNO awards. The band won the same award - the only international category at the JUNOs - for X&Y in 2006.

The international album of the year award, based on retail album sales in Canada, will see AC/DC's "Black Ice" and Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" go up against Metallica's "Death Magnetic," Jack Johnson's "Sleep Through the Static" and Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy."
