Coldplay Nominated For 'International Album of the Year' - JUNO Awards 2009

junologo.gifColdplay have been nominated for the International Album of the Year award at Canada's JUNO awards. The band won the same award - the only international category at the JUNOs - for X&Y in 2006.

 

The international album of the year award, based on retail album sales in Canada, will see AC/DC's "Black Ice" and Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" go up against Metallica's "Death Magnetic," Jack Johnson's "Sleep Through the Static" and Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy."

 

The 2009 Juno Awards will air live March 29 on CTV from Vancouver. More discussion on Coldplay's nomination here [thanks mimixxx]
