Having dominated proceedings when the Grammy nominations for 2009 were announced a year ago, British acts are hard to find for next month’s ceremony in Los Angeles. Last year Coldplay were nominated for seven awards and this year the band make the shortlist again with nods for best rock performance for Life In Technicolor II, while the same track wins them a nomination for best short form video. Good morning. We're pleased to report that, last night, Coldplay were nominated for two awards at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. The Coldplay-shaped puppets have been up all night celebrating. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Jan 31, 2010. The band are shortlisted for the following:
- Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals (for Life In Technicolor ii)
- Best Short Form Music Video (for Life In Technicolor ii)
