Expectant dad Chris Martin and the rest of the band knows how to relax during recording for the third Coldplay album - they play football in between sessions.

 

Chris, Jonny, Will and Guy took time out from recording the forthcoming platter to kick a ball around and careless Chris even managed to hoof the ball over a wall adjacent to the north London studio, and had to climb over to retrieve it.

 

An onlooker says, "Chris and his mates looked like they were taking it seriously. But David Beckham needn't worry about his place in the England team, judging by Chris's 'silky' skills."
