As 2008 winds down, the rumour mill for Glastonbury 2009 is already in full swing, with a host of famous names predicted as potential headliners for the world-famous festival.
eFestivals are speculating that Neil Young will be one of the main headlining acts, whilst Virtual Festivals are backing Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, and the recently reformed Blur to fill the three headline spots. Other bands rumoured to be appearing are Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, The Specials, Klaxons, Lily Allen and Kanye West.
However, the organisers themselves have been quick to point out that no bands have yet been 100% booked. On the official festival website, Emily Eavis said: 'We have got some very exciting plans in the pipeline for next year, but nothing has been totally confirmed. Watch this space, though'.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now and can be purchased here. Please note that customers wishing to purchase tickets need to be registered, which can be done either by visiting the Glastonbury 2009 website, or by sending an SAE to Glastonbury, PO Box 2445, Glasgow G40 9AG.
A full announcement is expected from the organisers next spring, so keep checking back for updates here on Ents24.
