Muse and The Verve will headline this year's V Festival, according to reports. The two bands will head up the main stage while The Prodigy and Kaiser Chiefs top the bill on the second stage, reports Drownedinsound.com.
But VF has heard whispers that Coldplay could be lined up for a shock headline performance at V Festival, which could mean the band sharing headline duties, as has been done in the past.The Verve have just been confirmed to headline Coachella in California and are also being tipped to play Glastonbury, as are Muse.
Coldplay have played down any suggestions they will be performing live this summer but a big money deal could persuade them.
Other acts rumoured for V Festival include Goldfrapp, Maximo Park, Duffy, The Dead 60s, Adele, The View, The Twang and Pigeon Detectives. Confirmed line up news and ticket sales will be announced in late February or early March. V Festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffs, on 16-17 August.
