Coldplay have today announced yet another festival headline slot of 2011 with the news that they are to play the very first RXP TĀKLIBERTY FESTIVAL at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey on September 18th. This brings the total number of 2011 festivals that Coldplay will play thus far to TWENTY (including this, and the earlier iTunes festival announcement). The confirmed festivals are spread four continents and sixteen countries (Germany, Italy, Netherlands, England, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Australia, US and Brazil!)

We're pleased to announce that Coldplay will headline the new RXP TĀKLIBERTY FESTIVAL, which has just been announced by New York radio station ROCK 101.9 RXP. The one-day, two-stage festival will take place on Sunday September 18th at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holdmel, NJ. Tickets for the general public will go on sale at 10am on Friday, June 24. They will be available at www.livenation.com, charge by phone 800.745.3000, select Ticketmaster locations or the PNC Bank Arts Center box office. A presale for members of the station’s free Rock Republic online program will run from Tuesday, June 21 until Thursday, June 23rd. The festival will also feature performances from Richard Ashcroft, Two Door Cinema Club, The Kooks, Graffiti 6 and The Pains Of Being Pure at Heart.
