Coldplay Tour May Skip New Zealand

vectorarena1.jpgAUCKLAND - Coldplay may be forced to cancel their only New Zealand concert because Auckland's waterfront arena won't be finished in time.

Coldplay has a concert scheduled at Vector Arena in June but construction delays make it unlikely the 12,000-seat venue will be ready in time, the New Zealand Herald reported on Tuesday. Concert promoter Manolo Echave said he has been told the $80 million dollar project -- due to be finished by the end of this year -- won't be ready until July or August.

Without a proper venue, it's unlikely Coldplay will play in New Zealand this time around, he said.
