Coldplay vs Hurricane

fixyouperfect.jpgColdplay are to donate all proceeds from the digital release of "Fix You" in the USA to help the thousands of people affected by Hurricane Katrina.

The band, who were forced to cancel a show in Tampa last night after Chris Martin lost his voice, will donate BMG, Capitol and Apple's profits to the fund.

The proceeds of the release will go to the American Red Cross Hurricane 2005 Relief and the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences' MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund.

"Fix You"'s US digital version of the EP features two songs previously unreleased in America, "Pour Me" and "The World Turned Upside Down", which is also on the new War Child record, "Help: A Day In The Life".
