Chris Martin has admitted the song 'Fix You' on the group's new album is a copy of Elbow's track Grace Under Pressure
The group has already confessed their new disc X&Y is heavily influenced by electronic stars Kraftwerk, with Jonny Buckland saying, "We've never so directly stolen off anyone before. We've never paid for our plagiarism."
Martin has warned fans Fix You will sound very similar to those who have listened to British band Elbow's 2003 album Cast Of Thousands.
He says, "Fix You came directly from Elbow's Grace Under Pressure. I think their Cast Of Thousands album is one of the very few albums over the past five years that I have played in its entirety many times."
