Coldplay have ruled out the possibility of playing a triumphant stadium tour when they return to their native England, because they first want to master anthemic rock in the same vein as Bon Jovi.
They feel their sound is not yet big enough to fill huge, open-air venues - despite delivering a highly-acclaimed performance at the London leg of Live 8 earlier this month.
Chris Martin is quoted as saying, "I think all of us feel like when we next come to England - when we next come home - we only want to play indoors because we don't feel we can really make the most of that space yet. It's all getting very geeky and technological, but we are not Bon Jovi quite yet."
