Coldplay's 'A Rush Of Blood...' Featured On Guardian's Top 1000 Albums

guardian1000albums.jpgDespite its faintly melodramatic title, The Guardian's list of 1000 albums to hear before you die isn't meant to be definitive, nor is it meant to be one of those Greatest Albums Of All Time lists. It's supposed to be more of a miscellany, an eclectic collection of interesting albums, (including Various Artists compilations, which usually don't get into those kind of lists).

 

In an attempt to get as wide a spread of music included as possible, all artists were limited to one entry each. Coldplay's AROBTTH was featured:

After the winsome acoustic pleasantries of their first album, Chris Martin's indie anthemists comprehensively upped their game for this follow-up. From the moment the album bursts to life with the pounding Politik, its songs are bigger, bolder and more affecting than its predecessor's. Coldplay were bedwetters no more.
