    Coldplay's Charlie Brown featured on '2013 GRAMMY Nominees' album

    In honuor of the upcoming GRAMMY awards show the Recording Academy is releasing a 22-track record featuring the nominees for this year’s Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Album.

     

    The album, out on January 22nd, features the Coldplay track Charlie Brown and tracks from other artists like Bruce Springsteen, The Black Keys, Gotye, Katy Perry, Frank Ocean, Hunter Hayes and Adele. A portion of the proceeds from each album will go to the MusiCares and the GRAMMY foundation. Winners for each category will be announced at the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards airing February 10 on CBS.

     

     

    Fans who buy the album in stores or pre-order it at grammy.com will also receive an entry to win a trip to see the 2013 Grammys in person on Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

    A reminder that Coldplay landed two GRAMMY nominations, with Mylo Xyloto competing for best rock album and the song Charlie Brown battling for best rock performance, it was announced from various media sources, including Coldplay's official site. This takes Coldplay's total career GRAMMY nominations to 26. Mylo Xyloto co-producer Markus Dravs is also up for Producer of the Year. The 55th annual Grammy Awards are to be staged in Los Angeles on February 10th.
