coldplayticket.jpgTickets for Coldplay’s new date on December 21st at the new O2 Arena in Dublin went on sale at 9am this morning - by 9.06am looking for any one isolated ticket was unsuccessful - in layman’s terms, it was sold out.

 

And just as we predicted, Coldplay (or rather Ticketmaster.ie) immediately added a second date for the next Night, Monday 22nd and that one was gone by 9.10am.

 

So not one, but two dates sold out in ten minutes; 34,000 tickets quickly snapped up; and at a cost of €61.15 (including handling fee) each, each, MCD and Ticketmaster seem to be earning €12,474,600 an hour. Nice work if you can get it!
