Q. Hey Oracle, On the cover of Moby's album Play in the bottom left hand corner someone's holding something up - can you tell me what this is and what it's for? I've always seen it when they make movies etc but no one I've asked knows! Thanks!

It's a camera lighting meter. It's used to work out the correct exposure for the photograph. As you say, it's used in movie making too to measure light levels.

Q. I had the pleasure of seeing the band perform at Sheffield Arena on Sunday 7 December 2008. However, I have forgotten the name of the special support guest that night. I think it was Tiesto - can you please confirm that my memory is still working OK? Thanks. Mark

Although Tiesto is a DJ so the set-up might look the same you are mistaken with the identity of the support. Viva collaborator Jon Hopkins was first on during all the UK shows around that time. FYI: There was a second act after Jon and on that occasion it was Eugene Francis Jnr and the Juniors.
