Q. Where can I buy the Hope for Haiti album? It isn't available on Itunes anymore.
The Oracle replies:
So I take it you already went to iTunes.com/Haiti and all I can say is that when I typed Hope for Haiti into my preferred search engine it gave me options to buy at Amazon etc. so maybe try there?

Q. I'm sure you're going to get a lot of this, but Coldplay did play X&Y live on the Twisted Logic Tour. It's all over YouTube :/
The Oracle replies:
No Anna Marie; just you. If you re-read the original question you will see that they were asking if Twisted Logic was played, NOT X&Y...

Q. Dear Oracle. How do you pronounce the "ii" in Life in Technicolor ii?
The Oracle replies:
ii or II are the roman numerals for two so basically it's Life in Technicolor two.

Q. Dear Oracle, Can you please tell me to which right address I could send a Christmas card to Coldplay ? Thanks :-) Laurene
The Oracle replies:
I'm afraid there isn't one; we don't have a P.O Box or postal address. Thanks for the thought though.

Q. Hello Lovely Oracle of the Internet! I was wondering if Coldplay's song Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground inspired Life in Technicolor one and two. Thank you all knowing one!
The Oracle replies:
The song's title appears as a lyric in LiT ii but neither "inspired" the other; it's a recurring theme. It's actually a common saying and fans note that even back in 1998 the band recorded No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground so it's not unfamiliar territory.

Q. Dear Oracle! have you ever tried Bertie Boot`s every flavor beans?
The Oracle replies:
I tried them when the first Potter film came out. I quite liked the nicer flavours... I've not seen the new one yet - next week. Maybe I'll get me some beans...

Q. Can anybody hire a recording studio for a morning or something and record some music of their own? Is it expensive? BTW have you heard and do you like the new Take That album? Have Coldplay heard it? What do you, and they, think of it if you/they have heard it?
The Oracle replies:
Recording studios are for hire that's how they function as a business so you can hire them. I wouldn't advise anyone to hire one unless they know exactly how they're going to use the time as it doesn't come cheap. You'd have to find out rates directly from the studio as they can vary but the cheapest times are usually through the night - if you have your own sound engineer. Also remember that you may need to pay for extras so be sure to ask as the fee may not be inclusive. I haven't heard the TT album yet but do know the band have and like it!

Q. Hoping you can help with a question: what exactly does a band do during the interim between show and encore? You know, the time when we as the audience are cheering and clapping like crazy, pretending that we think the show is over. What is going on backstage? Drinking copious amounts of water to rehydrate? A jaunt to the bathroom? Finally finishing that poker (or ping pong) tournament? It's always been a mystery to me and I thought that maybe the powerful, beloved and wise oracle might be able to shed some light on the subject! :) Thanks for sharing your expertise!
The Oracle replies:
Well Krista, all the above apart from finishing any sporting tournament - there isn't time for that! Depending on which band, there could be a beer and/or cigarette involved, a change of clothes/costume, reapplying of make-up (Coldplay don't do that one of course) or simply waiting for the moment to go back on stage for the encore. I have seen bands look out from the back of the stage and soak up that incredible energy; it's truly electric.

Q. Oracle, I just sent my team oracle answer to [email protected] and it failed. Should I be wounded?
The Oracle replies:
Hmm yes sorry about that, my email address is [email protected]. I did get a couple of answers from people who realized the mistake - great advice so far - but did wonder what had happened to the rest of you!

Q. WHO'D LIKE TO JOIN TEAM ORACLE? When I answer questions of a personal/emotional nature, Coldplay.com readers often get in touch with their own thoughts. So, we thought we'd launch a new weekly feature, Team Oracle, whereby each Friday (with the question asker's permission) we open up a question to all of you to answer too. Then, the following Friday, I'll post a selection of the best answers, alongside my own reply. So, if you'd like to join in, please email your response to the following question, in no more than 200 words, to [email protected] before Thursday 25th November.
Hi I've been single for two years after a long term relationship ended. I was hurt badly and don't know if I can trust a man again. I don't think I'm ready to settle down but 3 weeks ago I met a guy I really like. He told me he isn't looking for a girlfriend, just fun. I thought it could be a perfect arrangement. We've tried to meet up 3 times since but he has cancelled because of work. I was really upset by the let down and realise I struggle with disappointment. It's hard work already but I really want to see him again. Shall I be patient or just cut my losses and run? Bernie.
Look forward to seeing your replies. The Oracle

Q. Hi Oracle...f**k you Oracle
The Oracle replies:
Hi to you too Sada. Great song request, thank you. I did however resist from posting a link to Cee Lo Green' s song because it's perhaps not entirely appropriate. It was a song request wasn't it? I mean, you weren't hurling abuse my way were you? Were you in the first series of Big Brother by any chance?

Q. Hey Mighty One! How did you become Coldplay's Oracle?? Do you think there is any resemblance between the GPASUYF video and Radiohead's Just video? Greetings from Colombia!
The Oracle replies:
There wasn't a job vacancy advert looking for an Oracle nor did I apply for the position with a C.V. It was more divine intervention; one just is The Oracle. Speaking of just, yes I do see a resemblance in the videos you mention but as Jamie Thraves directed both there's no surprise. FYI That wasn't a pun; he did not direct the video for No Surprises.

Q. What university did you go to? :) Thank you dearest oracle!
The Oracle replies:
The university of life my friend..

Q. Hi! How are you? You once said that a song that had already been released will not appear on a future album. So, neither Wedding Bells nor that "story kind of thing" (of which Wedding Bells is the beginning, as Chris explained on the Apple Keynote Event) will be part of the next album, right? Thanks for all your answers! Love, Benjamin
The Oracle replies:
Not sure how your logic worked that out fella. Wedding Bells has not been released so it's not ruled out for inclusion on the 5th album; it's certainly been considered. Although that implies it will be on the album that's not necessarily the case either. Sorry for being cryptic but as you may know we don't generally reveal tracklistings until the album has been completed.

Q. Hello there! I had heard from a bird that there was a special ten year anniversary album coming out (hopefully) by the end of this year. It's getting close and I'm curious... Was that just a rumor or is it amazingly true?? Thanks!
The Oracle replies:
Wow another rumour. Gosh where do they come from I wonder? This one is not true at all either. The only album the band are working on is their 5th studio album and there are and never have been any plans to release a ten year anniversary record.

Q. Hey! El Caro, I was just wondering, I came across this old interview with Chris and Jonny and Chris was talking about his hand. He was explaining how his hand represents his life. Then he said he will get a "A" tattoo on his hand for his daughter. Did he get it yet :)? And if he did, can we see a picture?
The Oracle replies:
Yes he did and he now has an "M" too. Sorry Youssef I haven't got photos of any of Chris' tattoos. Maybe there is one on the Internet or you might see it in a video but I'm afraid I actually can't be bothered looking! Ha!

Q. Dear Oracle, when are you going to make a new album??? I keep seeing these rumours that you weren't going to make another one, are they true?????
The Oracle replies:
Keep up Sam! They're making it NOW, yes, right now even as I type! Rumours? What rumours? See, this is why it's best to ignore everything you hear unless you've read it on this website. If you stick with us you'd already know via Roadie #42 (and my good self of course) that they're in the studio.

Q. Greetings Holy Oracle! How are you? I hope you are well. I have a question about How You See the World. Which one is No. 1 and which is No. 2, considering the differing opening lyrics: "Are you missing something?" and "They put the world
in a tin can"? Thank you Oracle!
The Oracle replies:
"Are you missing something?" is the opening line of the original song while the latter is How You See The World No. 2 with its changed lyrics.

Q. Kind Oracle, I am surprised to read that the band will borrow an instrument for a performance. Each instrument feels and responds differently. I can see using an unknown piano with an hour of practice, but I would think a guitar would be difficult switch out - if you are used to a certain depth of neck and all of the sudden you have to perform on something narrower, it would throw you off some. Maybe the guys are so far beyond that level that you could hand them a cigar box with rubber bands and they would make it work. How common is borrowing an instrument?
The Oracle replies:
The instrument in question was borrowed from one of their crew so it was not unfamiliar...
