Rolling Stone have hinted today that 'Violet Hill' - the first single from Coldplay’s upcoming album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends - will be released to radio on May 5th. This comes a day after Coldplaying revealed that the single will be available through internet download only, the week after radio play.
Meanwhile, the Barcelona premiere we reported earlier has been confirmed by other spanish local media, and some Spanish radio stations. The media will obviously be there, and it seems that a few invitations will be reserved for fans as well.
Unconfirmed reports are also emerging is that Coldplay have been signed up to play in one of the big summer European festivals. If we get more on this, we'll bring it to you before you can say "Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends".
Finally, if you live in the UK and want to take advantage of a pre-order deal for Coldplay's new album, CDWOW are offering the CD for a limited pre-release price of £6.99. This is the lowest pre-release price found so far - Amazon @ £10.43 including delivery and Play.com @ £8.95 were the cheapest previously found.
