Happy 20th Anniversary, Coldplay!

20 years ago, Coldplay performed their first gig at 'The Laurel Tree' in Camden, London.

The show took place in the upstairs room of the pub, not far from Chris and Jonny’s flat. The building still exists but is no longer a music venue. This is one of the small handful of Coldplay shows not mixed by Daniel Green. It is also notable for the short-lived band-name Starfish before they finally arrived at Coldplay. The gig was completely sold out – mainly as a result of the band’s persuasive skills amongst their friends.

To celebrate the occasion, our resident video editor Sarah put together this wonderful recap of Coldplay's journey to become the biggest band in the world!
