Hiwatt To Coldplay's Rescue As Dates Mount Up

Wednesday 25 January saw the second leg of Coldplay’s USA tour begin. But with the band due to play the Grammys in Los Angeles on 5 February this caused logistical problems with the equipment. So, to help out Hiwatt was called upon by the band’s British based management team to provide another bass rig for Guy Berryman. According to his guitar tech, Hoppy, Guy wants to use nothing else but his Hiwatts.

A similar problem also occurred when the band performed at the Brits held in Earl’s Court Arena on 15 February. But, Hiwatt was on hand to help out once again. Coldplay won two awards at the Brits.

Said Hiwatt Managing Director Richard Harrison: ‘To have a band as big as Coldplay using one of our bass rigs is extremely complimentary.’
