It was a good night for Coldplay online presence at the BT Digital Music Awards 2011 at the Roundhouse in London as Coldplaying.com and Coldplay.com were both winners in the Best Fansite and Best Official site respectively. It's the third consecutive BTDMA that Coldplaying has made the final 6 shortlist in the Fansite category but the first time we have won the award - and its a big thanks to everyone who took the time out to vote for us each day over the last few weeks - this award belongs to you as well! Join us at the Coldplay forum to celebrate now!
Special mention goes to the other fansites shortlisted in the best Fansite category: Muselive, Keaneshine, Mission Mcfly, Matchbox 20 Fans and MonkeyKingsFacts. Well done to all excellent sites.
You can see some of the pictures from the awards after the jump. Big thanks to Mich and Anna for representing Coldplaying at the awards. Anchorman was also there representing Coldplay.com and came over to congratulate us around the same time they tweeted us. Parlophone also tweeted the news of both Coldplay sites. Thanks to everyone who has congratulated us on Twitter (including Coldplay!) - we'll try and shout out as many of you as we can tomorrow!
The BT Digital Music Awards (DMA) were created in the UK in 2001 and are held annually. Music industry professionals can nominate artists, venues and hardware into the Judge's Choice award categories. The rest of the awards are made up of People's Choice Awards, voted for by the public. The 2011 BT Digital Music Awards, now in its eleventh year, was held at the Camden Roundhouse on 29 September.
