Investors are to be offered the chance to invest in live music gigs through a novel investment vehicle launched today.
With a board including Live Aid and Live 8 promoter Harvey Goldsmith, Eric Clapton’s manager Michael Eaton and Frank Presland, who manages Elton John and James Blunt, Edge Performance is looking to raise £30m under the venture capital trust scheme.
Former Emap chairman Sir Robin Miller will chair the group. Edge has set up agreements with two of the main concert promoters in this country representing Britney Spears, Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, Take That, Oasis, Dido, Coldplay and Joss Stone.
The minimum investment level is £5000.
