Jonny Buckland: 'The Scientist Came Very Quickly To Us'

The new track is called "The Scientist" and guitarist Jonny Buckland says that they didn't spend a lot of time working on the track. It's not that they're lazy – the song is just that good.

Johnny says, "The most fun tracks to record are the ones that come quite quickly, you know, and come together quickly. 'The Scientist' was one of those. Chris wrote the melody and the piano part in an afternoon one Sunday and I heard it and I thought it was amazing. And the next day we went in and recorded it straight down, first take pretty much and then we arranged it and within two days it was recorded and done."
