Live Nation Debuts Ticket System For Coldplay

verizonamphitheater.jpgWhile the proposed merger of Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. and concert promoter Live Nation Inc. hasn't yet affected how the public will buy tickets, Live Nation has announced a new ticketing system that will replace Ticketmaster for Verizon Wireless Amphitheater concerts.

Tickets to the July 24 Coldplay concert at Verizon go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, and with that comes the first run of the new system. Ticketmaster can still be used for other venues, including Scottrade Center and the Pageant.

— livenation.com: It's the only site authorized to sell tickets for Verizon.

— Verizon Wireless Amphitheater box office: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. There is no service charge at the box office during the first week of sales.

— By phone: 1-877-598-8703.

— Select Blockbuster stores: 3860 Vogel Road in Arnold, 12161 Manchester Road in Des Peres, 15957 Manchester Road in Ellisville and 6400 Gravois Avenue in St. Louis. Additional locations will be added.
