The charity called Mentality - www.mentality.org.uk have been running a fundraising event called Hats Off in aid of challenging the stigma and discrimination experienced by people with mental health problems. One part of this initiative was photographing wellknown faces from music, film, theatre, tv etc. taking their hat off by putting hats on for mental health.
Jason Bell an award winning photographer agreed to do this and on a shoot with Coldplay asked them if they would agree to support the initiative - and they kindly did. They agreed to auction the hats to continue to raise funds and these are now available on www.ebay.co.uk under the charity auction Hats Off to mentality. Jason produced a book titled Hats Off of all the people photographed wearing their hats, Coldplay are included in this. If you would like to help the charity in another way then you could buy a book as Jason has also donated all his profits from the royalties of the book to Mentality. You can also buy a limited edition print of the photograph of Coldplay from [email protected], again the money goes to the charity.
