The management of the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff is inching ever closer to confirming a massive live-aid style Tsunami Relief show to be held on the weekend of January 22nd and 23rd, which is hoped to raise over £1M for the DEC charity.
Strong rumours suggest that U2, Coldplay, The Darkness, Franz Ferdinand & Stereophonics may be making appearances at the show. Rupert Moon, the stadium's business manager, said things were "falling into place," and that an announcement should be made regarding the show within the next 48 hours.
"We've been working very hard with band managers, agents and so on, and we're working on getting a cross-section of acts: British, European and international bands," Moon said. "What we need now is for one of them to step out of the shadows and say, 'OK, we'll put our names to this.' And that will sway a lot of people."
