    Monkey Business At The Brits

    brits2006.jpgAnimated band Gorillaz have been signed up to play at this year's Brit Awards.

     

    Damon Albarn's band are the latest act to be announced along with US artist Jack Johnson. Jack, whose music combines blues, folk and hip-hip, is a huge name over in the States and the Brits is where he will be making his UK debut trying to wow British music lovers.

     

    BPI and Brit Awards organising committee chairman Peter Jamieson said: "The addition of Gorillaz and Jack Johnson to the bill means this year's show will be one of the strongest yet. This is a show not to be missed," he continued.

     

    The two acts join a long list of music talents lined up to entertain the crowds including Kanye West, Coldplay and the Kaiser Chiefs. Gorillaz have two nominations for British Group and British Album for Demon Days.
