New Coldplay single 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' enjoys early positive reviews

etiaw80.jpgColdplay's new single 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' will drop tomorrow (Friday) and so far all the reviews (mainly from DJs) we've found on Twitter and other sources have been very positive. Of course "they would say that wouldn't they", you might say. Well, in addition to comments under 140 characters, this is what The Sun wrote about the track online this morning:

"If Chris Martin fancied a sideline writing euphoric dance tracks for pilled-up clubbers, he'd do good business. The new Coldplay single Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall is an up-tempo hit. It is crying out for Swedish House Mafia to get their hands on it for anthemic Ibiza club nights. The song will get its first outing on radio tomorrow. The band have a new neon look inspired by Seventies New York graffiti. And it sounds like they've got the tunes to match the fashion. If the sun is shining when the band headline Glastonbury, this song will provide a special moment for the pickled punters."

And this from RadarRadio: "Now, a friend of Radar from B105 in Brisbane, Ryan Tothill has had a listen to the the new single called 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' and has said:“The new Coldplay track is sensational, a good up-tempo song that has a 'Viva La Vida/Lovers In Japan' sound to it. Starts off with a super long intro, and keeps on building throughout the song. Coldplay fans are going to love it" [thanks 1der]

Meanwhile, Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall has been added to playlists at Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music, according to Music Week.. The track, the first taste of the band’s their fifth studio album, has made the B list at R1 and 6 Music and moves straight onto the A list at R2. Expect plenty of radio plays in the next few days and weeks.
