The official Coldplay site have been honoured at this year's Webby Awards for their excellent content for fans. This is not the first time they have been honoured - they were also praised in 2009 during the Viva era. Well done to all at Coldplay.com for this year's selection! Good evening. We're very pleased to report that Coldplay.com is an Honoree at this year's Webby Awards (a bit like the Oscars of the internet world). According to the Webbys, to be an Honoree is "an incredible achievement worthy of praise". Given that our website is currently centred around Exhibits that you've uploaded, Hypnofeed videos that you've suggested, Live Transmissions you've submitted and Oracle questions that you've asked, we'd like to thank you very much indeed for helping us to achieve this recognition for the site. We quite literally couldn't have done it without you. Anchorman
According to Wikipedia, a Webby Award is an international award presented annually by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences for excellence on the Internet with categories in websites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile.
From the official Webby website: With nearly 70 categories, Website entries make up the majority of Webby Awards Winners, Nominees and Honorees. Some are beautiful to look at and interact with. Others are a testament to usability and functionality. And a handful excel across the board. To be selected among the best is an incredible achievement worthy of praise -- and perhaps a little bragging. As a result of the superior quantity and quality of sites entered, the 15th Annual Webby Awards recognized sites and teams that demonstrated a standard of excellence. Of the nearly 10,000 entries submitted to the 15th Annual Webby Awards, fewer than 10% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work.
