    Following the tragic events of the 22nd May, when a bomb exploded outside the Manchester Arena killing 22 people and injuring many others, Ariana Grande has announced the One Love Manchester benefit concert.

     




    All the money raised by the One Love Manchester concert will be donated to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, which was set up by the Manchester City Council in partnership with the British Red Cross. You can donate to the We Love Manchester Fund here.

     




    Who will be performing?




    On the 30th May it was announced that Ariana Grande will be joined on stage by Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Take That, Black Eyed Peas, Little Mix, Robbie Williams and Niall Horan.

    How do I get to the event?




    Here are directions on how to get to the venue, please make sure you allow enough time to get there and for extra security once you arrive.




    Transport for Greater Manchester have announced that Metrolink (trams) will be providing free transport to the event for ticket holders. Full information can be found here.




    There will be extra transport put on, however it is expected to be very busy so journeys may take longer than normal.




    People are being urged not to drive to the venue and if they are not attending the football (earlier in the day) or the One Love Manchester concert, they should avoid the area.

    What are the timings on the night?

    Gates Open: 4:00pm




    Show Starts: 7.15pm




    Show Ends: 10.15pm

     




    Can you take bags to the event?

    Following the London attacks that occurred a day before the show, Greater Manchester Police announced that security would be tighter than planned. They also advised attendees not to bring bags into the venue for security reasons.

     




    When do the tickets go on sale?




    The tickets went on general sale at 10am on 1st June and are reported to have sold out in under six minutes.

     




    I didn't get tickets, can I listen/watch the concert live?




    Yes, we will be covering the event live on our social media platforms. A list of radio and TV stations that are broadcasting the event are listed below.

     




    What will happen to the money raised at the event?




    All net ticket proceeds of the show will go directly to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund which was set up by the Manchester City Council in partnership with the British Red Cross, in aid of grieving families and victims of the horrific attack.




    In the days since the bombing celebrities from around the world have been paying tribute to those who have lost their lives and expressed their support for those affected.




    Recently it emerged that One Direction singer Harry Styles surprised a 14-year-old fan with a phone call as she was recovering in hospital.




    Since taking the call from Harry, Freya has been moved from Intensive Care to High Dependency, 'a massive positive step towards her recovery' according to her family.


     

    UK Radio Stations


    The concert will be broadcast live on BBC One, BBC Radio and Capital FM networks, and streamed online. Television coverage on BBC One will be presented by Sara Cox and Ore Oduba, with Nick Grimshaw and Anita Rani hosting from backstage and within the crowd. BBC Radio coverage will consist of a simultaneous broadcast, hosted by Scott Mills, Jo Whiley, Phil Williams and Becky Want, on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Radio Manchester respectively. BBC World Service will also transmit the concert live.

    The BBC have announced that they shall broadcast the entire concert, even if it overruns its intended, three-hour, duration.


    International broadcasters


    Broadcasters in at least 38 countries have confirmed they will screen the concert live, despite the time zone differences. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is distributing the concert to its radio members, while the concert will also be streamed online. Twitter Live will also be streaming the concert.
