Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys explained why Coldplay were responsible for their album delay, in an NME interview out this week.

 

You're qorking with legendary G4 producer Trevor Horn. When will the album be ready ?

Unfortunately, what happened is that we thought we'd written all the songs and then we heard Coldplay's and we realised we didn't have one song better than theirs, so we had to go away and rewrite them all, which is where we are now.
