As well as all the new ColdplayTV content that has been uploaded for our lyrical desires, there have been several rumours that have slipped under the radar in recent days. Here's a round-up of the latest reports hitting the Coldplay grapevine...
An unpopulated Washington Post website page was captured on Google news describing Coldplay's forthcoming Glastonbury 2011 performance as a movie, leading to strong suggestions that the show will be shown (live?) in some US cinemas. Said the website: "Running Time: 2:00; Release Date: Opens 25-Jun-2011; Showtimes are currently unavailable for this movie." Keep a close eye out on changes to their content! [thanks cleeson7]
ColdplayVEVO, the YouTube channel where official videos are uploaded (as and when EMI allow, anyway) has been updated with a private video of 'The Scientist'. Nothing strange, you might think, to upload a video that is already nine years old (!)... unless of course, you're waiting for an official video of the new LP5 single. After all, we've all seen 'The Scientist' before, no need to hide it from us... [thanks Larsvans.]
According to Rochester radio station 100.5 The Drive, they'll have new Coldplay material to play soon. Our insider said: "Hey guys. I was listening to 100.5 The Drive (a radio station in the Rochester area) this morning because I was skimming through the stations and this station happened to be playing Violet Hill. After the song was over, the radio host mentioned that "we should be hearing some new material from Coldplay in about a month or so." I don't know if he has some sort of information that we don't or if he is merely speculating based on the recent occurrences. 100.5 is a reputable station and I could definitely see them possessing some sort of insider information."
