The Sun leads media frenzy over Coldplay's new album

coldplaynme.jpgThe Sun have today sparked a burst of new online media articles about the updates to Coldplay's latest LP5 blog... nearly two weeks after it was originally posted. Entitled "Coldplay chill before the kill", they wrote about Roadie #42's latest blog posted on 5th June and immediately several big name publishers and digital music magazines followed suit.

You can read all of today's news articles including headlines such as "Coldplay hit studio for fifth album", "New Coldplay Album Nearly Finished, Due Late 2010" and "Coldplay's Fifth Album Near Completion", here via Google news. Coldplayers will already know the latest LP5 news from the last blog so we thought we'd better add some new content - view some previously unseen photos of Coldplay live in Bogota back in March, below/after the jump...

Coldplay have had several weeks off after spending two months holed up in an abandoned North London church working non-stop on the new record. They are now back at work, and intent on completing their as-yet-unnamed record as soon as possible. Coldplay have kept extremely quiet about the style and contents of their new album, but Roadie #42 has previously revealed the band had written so much new material, they were struggling to decide what to put on the album. Coldplay is hoping to release their new record at Christmas.

R#42 said the new tracks are 'killer', even though they are not finished. "The songs haven't assumed their final beautiful form yet but they're a very long way from their skin and bones phase," he wrote. "What's impossible not to conclude is that they have some killer tunes."
