Coldplay will perform at a special BBC concert and tickets will go on sale next Monday!
The concert will take place on Thursday 3rd December, one day before the release of the band's seventh album, 'A Head Full Of Dreams'.
The venue of the concert is St John’s Church in Hackney, London. The British four piece performed a charity gig at the same venue, a few years back and according to Radio 1 DJ, Annie Mac, it will provide the perfect intimate setting for the band to showcase their new songs:
Coldplay's frontman and guitarist, Jonny Buckland joined Annie Mac in the BBC studios for the major announcement, as Chris looked back at their previous intimate concerts, a year prior:
Tickets will go on sale at 19:30 UK time, on Monday 16th November.
Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis
To attend you will need to be aged 16 or over
Tickets are priced £17.50 plus booking and postage fees
There is a maximum of two tickets per person
No doubt that many of us will be doing our best to grab a pair of tickets! A word of warning though - It will be difficult!
If we compare the 'Ghost Stories' show in London (Royal Albert Hall) to this BBC concert, there were just under 5,000 seats available at the RAH but for this BBC concert, there are just over 1,000! Many of us are familiar with the ticket chaos of last year and competition will even more fierce this time round. If your lucky enough to grab a pair, awesome! If you can't, you won't be alone. BBC usually stream their concerts and you can join many of us on the community forums for the event. We wish you the best of luck!
