    BBC Radio 2 Announce Coldplay Concert In December

    It's been speculated for months that Coldplay will perform at the BBC Radio Theatre. Radio 2 in the UK have now confirmed the band will treat an audience of just a few hundred fans to an intimate concert at the cozy BBC Theatre, on Monday 8th December!


    The concert will air on Radio 2, online and on the BBC Red Button. 116 pairs of tickets are to be given away and you can apply for them! The application must be made by Wednesday 26th November at 10pm UK time.

    On Monday 8 November, Radio 2 welcomes Coldplay to the BBC Radio Theatre.


    Usually Coldplay perform to hundreds of thousands of fans in stadia all over the world. This is a rare chance to see them performing close-up to an audience of just a few hundred people.


    The concert will be broadcast on Radio 2, online and on the BBC Red Button. Find out how to listen, watch and join in with this intimate concert from one of the world's biggest acts.

    Ticket Giveaway

    We have 116 pairs of tickets to give away for this intimate concert.



    This ticket giveaway closes on Wednesday 26 November at 2200

    Tickets are free and will be allocated at random.

    You can apply for a maximum of one pair of tickets per household and you must make your own way to and from the event.

    Minimum age: 16

    Radio 2 In Concert: How to Watch and Listen

    Radio 2 In Concert with Coldplay airs from 2000-2200 on Monday 8 December.


    The band will be talking to Jo Whiley and performing a mixture of songs from their current album Ghost Stories along with classic hits from throughout their career.
