    Q. Dearest Oracle, I was watching videos on Youtube of the Chicago Concert this year that i attended, I notice when Chris Asks for the wristbands to be turned on he ask for Will to turn them on. Does this mean Will Champion actually controls the wristbands or is somebody else named Will as well? Thanks!

    The Oracle replies:

No, Will is multi-talented - as we all know - but rather too busy at the shows to be able to activate the Xylobands at all the right moments. It's Jason who turns them on. Chris is saying Will's name as he comes in next with drums.

    Q. Does the band know when there's something related with Coldplay in the Trending Topics on Twitter?

    The Oracle replies:

They do if Anchorman sees it and tells them, yes. Obviously we can't always watch trending topics but generally word does get back to the band.

September 13, 2012 - submitted by Andrew, United States of America

    Q. Dear Oracle, I was wondering how Coldplay came up with the setlist at the Paralympics. The order of the songs that were performed were in a different order as usual, especially Us Against the World being first. Did Coldplay have the people in charge of the Paralympics pick out the songs they wanted and then have them choose the order since everyone in the Paralympics was moving to the lyrics of each song? Let me know! Thanks, Andrew

    The Oracle replies:

The band and Kim Gavin, the director of Olympic closing ceremony, worked together on putting the perfect setlist together. It took time and wasn't a decision taken lightly. The audience didn't know the order; only the band and the performers.

    Q. When is exactly Coldplay gonna show up at the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games? And what song they're gonna play? Kisses from Indonesia!

    The Oracle replies:

It was all under wraps before hand so I couldn't tell you but here is the setlist as it happened on Sunday night:

    Us Against The World

    Yellow

    Up In Flames

    Paradise

    42

God Put A Smile Upon Your Face

    Clocks

    Charlie Brown

    Princess Of China with Rihanna

Strawberry Swing with The British Paraorchestra

    We Found Love with Rihanna

    Viva La Vida

Run This Town with Jay-Z and Rihanna

    Paradise remix with Jay-Z

    The Scientist

    Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

    Q. Hello Mighty Oracle. I was wondering. Why doesn't Coldplay play the 'original' version (The one at ACL Festival) of Up In Flames. The one with the real drums? Thanks in Advance!

    The Oracle replies:

That's not the original version as it were; that's the debut live version. The song was written quite close to that performance and they were still working out how to present it live. The album version and the way it's played live now are very similar. I think it suits the song the way it is.

September 11, 2012 - submitted by Helen, United Kingdom

    Q. Hello, A group of friends and I are travelling to Prague to see Coldplay play this Sunday evening. The tickets that we have bought say that Synot Tip Arena, but your website says Slavia Eden....just to be sure: is it the same stadium? Wouldn't want to be in the wrong place at the right time! Thanks Oracle!

    The Oracle replies:

Don't worry, Helen - you're going to the right place at the right time. The Eden Arena was formerly known as Synot Tip Arena so it is one and the same. Enjoy!

September 11, 2012 - submitted by Carol, Brazil

    Q. My dear Oracle, what a great surprise I had tonight! It was amazing the Coldplay performance at the closing ceremony of the London Paralympics... and as Chris said, a great honor! I just want to know if you were there. Please tell me how did it feel? Have a nice day! Love Carol.

    The Oracle replies:

I was there, Carol but I'm not sure I can put into words how I felt or how it was. It was mind-blowing, magical, incredible, jaw-droppingly beautiful and the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed in my life. I doubt I will ever experience anything quite like that again in my lifetime. I haven't watched the TV version yet but am humbled and grateful to have had the once in a lifetime opportunity of being there watching it all unfold. It's also been great to read so many fans comments about how much they loved it too.

    Q. Hi, Oracle, Please Reply. Coldplay come to Brazil? I heard Chris Martin speaking Rio is in sight in the Paralympics Closing Ceremony

    The Oracle replies:

He wasn't referring to the band touring Brazil - as you know, there are no current plans - he meant that the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics will be taking place in Rio.

September 10, 2012 - submitted by Jess, Australia

    Q. I was watching the repeats of Coldplay at the closing ceremony of the Paralympics and they said that a rumour was going around that Coldplay got paid only 1 pound to perform. Is that true? Cheers

    The Oracle replies:

It's not a rumour; every act/band who performed at the opening & closing ceremonies of both the Olympics and Paralympics got paid £1 to perform - including Sir Paul McCartney.

September 10, 2012 - submitted by Janina, Germany

    Q. Dear Oracle, I was wondering how the band travels from gig to gig: plane, train oder bus? Because I once saw an interview with Chris, where he said, that they love to go by train, so they are able to ejoy the countryside. Thanks for answering! PS: Can't wait to see the guys on Thursday in LEIPZIG!

    The Oracle replies:

It depends where the gig is but generally it's car to airport, plane to country, car to venue. There have been train rides here and there but they don't happen all that often. We all went to Liverpool's Crisis concert on the train a couple of year's ago - in the snow.
