    Q. Hey Oracle! With so many live performances of the same songs over the years, how does the band manage to keep alive the thrill they get when they listen to their own songs? I mean, it must be hard for them to get goosebumps even if they listen to a beauty like Clock' or Fix You because, well, they play them so often, right? Wouldn't it be horrible to get bored with your own songs?

    Thanks loads, Devyani

    The Oracle replies:

They don't listen to their own songs; they perform them. That makes a lot of difference. When you get on stage every night in front of a huge crowd who are all there to watch you, the energy, the adrenalin and the show take over. They sometimes change song arrangements to inject new life into them but most bands will say they know when they write a song it's got to be good enough to want to play it for the next 15 years or so. I guess if they don't have that feeling, they know to ditch it so those we probably never hear. Chris has said that Yellow will never be dropped from the set because that's what people want to hear. That song launched their career and hopefully that means they'll never get bored of performing it.

    Q. What's Chris Martin's official facebook?? Pls I need to know!!! Thanx Oracle!!

    The Oracle replies:

He doesn't have one & never has. In fact, the only member of the band who has ever had a Facebook account is Guy but not any more. He closed it years ago.

    Q. So come on then, which came first... The comic/story or the album?

    The Oracle replies:

Well this is interesting because they were working on both at the same time yet both were very separate entities. However, the name Mylo Xyloto was first associated with the comic. It was only later when the musical direction of the album changed and the comic idea was put on the back burner that the name became the album's name. I hope that makes sense!

    Q. I have beautiful pictures of my daughter and her boyfriend , both 15 , at one of your concerts that I think you might like. They are under the confetti kissing and you can't tell it's them but it's really sweet. Where can I send them if you are interested?

    The Oracle replies:

Feel free to upload it here.

    Q. Hi dear Oracle, I have this question that only you can answer. Do (Coldplay) ar taking a year off? I hear this rumour in A Coldplay Fans page but im not sure. Anyway Coldplay is and it will be always be the best band ever. Greetings From Mexico :)

    The Oracle replies:

I'm not the only one who can answer that; nobody can answer that - not even the band. Decisions are made and changed on a daily basis as to what happens next after a campaign is coming to an end. The natural thing to do is to take some time off but that has never yet been a year. The band may be out of sight to the public but that doesn't mean they aren't working in some way or another. After the Viva tour, the band returned for a Latin American leg. They finished 11th March 2010. They performed a couple of Crisis at Christmas gigs later that year and then re-emerged for live shows in June 2011 while continuing with the writing & recording process. Who knows how long it will take for the next album? It's not a time frame you should really try and quantify. They will return when they do and the album will be finished when it is. I can't really say anything more than that at this premature stage but I'm sure ( & hope) it will fly by - like last time?!

    Q. Will there be a place where you can buy merchandise at the Coldplay Australian tour 18th of November? Thanks

    The Oracle replies:

As always, there will be merch stands at the concerts - there will be several but time your visit well as it can be trickier after a gig with more people heading to them. Obviously people arrive at different times but leave at the same time.

    Q. Hi Oracle, yesterday I tried to order a print online of the crowd panorama photo from the concert I went to, and I got sent an email from the print website saying I wasn't allowed to because it was under copyright. Is this right? I'm not trying to make any money off it or anything, I just wanted the poster to hang up in my room. Any help/advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Hope you're having a nice day.

    The Oracle replies:

We're not selling them so it's as simple as that I'm afraid. Copyright isn't always about whether someone intends to make money off an item. They're not of a quality we'd be happy with so we haven't made them available to purchase. I don't know where you tried to buy it from but as far as I know they aren't and shouldn't be available anywhere else.

    Q. Hai Oracle! How is your Mylotober! XD I was just wondering, you know how the Live 2003 Movie came with a Tour Diary... will the new Live 2012 come with a Tour Diary? I just want to confirm. I would greatly appreciate it if you answered this. Many Coldplayers would appreciate it too. But thanks anyway for answering our questions. We really do appreciate it! Lots of Love from California! (and the rest of the world!) -Olive

    The Oracle replies:

The Live 2012 DVD will not come with a tour diary. There is backstage footage and each of the guys speak during those montages.

    Q. Oracle!! I was wondering what does "you might be a big fish in a little pond, doesn't mean you've won" mean?? I would like it tattooed because I have always loved that lyric but would like to know what it actually means. Its in the song Lost :) Thanks so much!!

    The Oracle replies:

Probably wise to find out what it means before getting permanently inked onto your skin... The phrase big fish in a small pond is similar to being 'a legend in your own living room'. It means you may be a big deal in your locality, but outside of that nobody knows who you are so you're not really that big of a deal at all in the greater scheme of things. I'd say it's not necessarily a bad thing - if that's what you want to be - but it's all about stretching your wings and expanding your ambition.

    Q. G'day, Oracle! Now that the Mylo Xyloto comics have gotten so much more attention since the release of the HLH music vid, are the boys planning on incorporating any of the characters/animations into their shows? On the large screens where the multi-colored running man is, for example. Hope you're having a good one!

    The Oracle replies:

No, they're not. It would be pretty pointless to start anything new given the MX tour is coming to a close. Those characters have been around longer than the record so if anything it would have made sense to have them from the beginning.
