Organised and hosted by Damian Aspinall, Zac Goldsmith and Trudie Styler, the event which was attended by numerous celebrities was looking to double the £2.8 million raised by the last two dinners. It’s no surprise Chris performed at the annual event as it is one of Europe’s most important environmental and conservation charity dinners, which is a cause close to the singer's heart.
It is a private dinner in support of the Ecology Trust and the Aspinall Foundation at Ormeley Lodge. The Ecology Trust distributes funds to frontline and unsung organizations battling to protect the environment, both domestically and globally. Whereby the Aspinall Foundation is a charity that sets out to protect threatened species such as elephant, rhino, cheetah, chimpanzee, mountain gorilla, African wild dog, and marine species such as the sea turtle.
Also in attendance were Greek royals Crown Prince Pavlos and his wife Crown Princess Marie-Chantal, while the guest of honour was Prince Charles.
Chris’s performance no doubt went down very well which is why he decided to celebrate with a 'rare night on the town', according to the Daily Mail yesterday. We reckon he went straight home!
