Coldplay have entered the top earners in the Music Entertainment list according to Heat magazine. The group is the top earning British group and second only to the Rolling Stones on the group list, with a 2003 earnings of £25.3M, topped by the World Tour. The magazine's rich list is based on estimated earnings from record and DVD sales, merchandising, tour revenue, music publishing royalties and other income. For the full story click HERE

Coldplay's new single In My Place, will include two extra new tracks when it is released on August 5. Coldplay have reportedly invested in a massive recording studio place in London.   The four-piece are planning on using the property in Hampstead, north-west London as their permanent head-quarters. The move seemingly ends recent speculation that Coldplay’s future is uncertain. Coldplay are inviting fans to film their gigs so their footage can be used for the concert DVD.   The project – which applies to their Toronto gigs on March 22-23 – was inspired by the Beastie Boys’ Awesome: I F**kin’ Shot That. It was made by five fans in the audience at one of their shows.   A competition will be launched on Canadian television to select five fans to take on the task. The band plan to use the resulting footage on a DVD of the occasion.

Coldplay invited an injured child onto the stage ahead of their performance on the Today Show in New York this morning (June 27th).   The fan, who was in the front row of the audience outside the Rockefeller Centre, was picked out by frontman Chris Martin because he was wearing a sling.
