As the extent of damage and loss of life caused by Hurricane Katrina is still unfolding, the American Red Cross is launching the largest mobilization of resources for a single natural disaster involving thousands of trained disaster relief workers, tons of supplies - and shoulders on which to lean. The Red Cross is anticipating a sustained disaster relief effort. Already, nearly 70,000 evacuees have been provided shelter in more than 230 Red Cross shelters - from the panhandle of Florida, acro

A short message from the new proprietor and head honcho of Coldplaying.com Hello to all my fellow Coldplay fans, I wish to introduce myself as the new owner of Coldplaying. I will state more info about myself and my identity in due course (no, I am not Batman!). At the moment, a changeover process is underway at the backend and we are trying to keep the change as smooth as possible and Ian, Stephen & co are doing a great job as always behind the scenes and making me feel very welcomed!

BBC Worldwide have 2000 copies of the Coldplay edition of Radio Times left over after sales and have been thinking about ways of distributing them as it seems a shame to just destroy them. An idea was to give them to fans who saw the Live8 concert and this edition is a reminder of an historic event. Besides, Coldplay are on the front cover. They are willing to offer these out freely to anyone who wants them, provided they pay P&P (probably via fixed charge text message). UK only, but I'm

We are aware that the site is having intermittent periods of downtime and slow webpages - this is due to a problem with the server that the site is currently running on. Coldplaying.com will be switching to a brand new server very soon and all problems will be ironed out by the end of the week. This will be a smooth transition and further downtime for this is not planned. Many thanks for your patience - I will keep you all updated. Ian

Link: Mexico Fans: CCC Needs Your Help As many on Coldplaying know, some members have compiled a CD of music by members of the forum to raise money for the Coldplaying Charity Club. The CD should be available for pre-sale in early March. We are looking for volunteers who are going to the Mexico City show, who would be willing to print and hand out fliers announcing the CD's upcoming release. A couple of designs, large and small, in colour and Black & White will be available on this threa

Oxfam America spent the day with the Coldplay crew yesterday in West Palm Beach gearing up for the tour... looks like it's going to be a spectacular run of shows! Here is a competition, just for tonight, that they'd like to announce: Before Oxfam made the trip to Florida, we uncovered a couple of now-rare Oxfam Make Trade Fair t-shirts in storage, featuring the MTF equal-sign logo that Chris Martin famously wore on his hand a few years back. To celebrate the start of the tour, they'd love to g

2014 has now come to a close. We've had the pleasure of listening to a new Coldplay album, with an additional single release for Miracles, alike to Atlas in 2013, with both songs featuring on film soundtracks. Unlike 2013, there's a lot of competition, with four songs receiving over 10% of the vote : Always In My Head, True Love, A Sky Full Of Stars and Miracles. The poll was made using Google Surveys and has been posted on various fanpages recently. Our forum poll results so far are quite d

Further to the Italian balloons and crowns we told you about ahead of the Coldplay concert in Udine on Monday, and the yellow Coldplaying t-shirts that will be donned by over 100 people inside Wembley stadium, we have news of a new choreographed event in collaboration with Coldplayzone and Coldplayitalia that will turn Wembley into something never seen before - a stadium full of yellow glowsticks. In the hope of distributing the glowstick bracelets in the queues before the venue we are asking

The $1.36 campaign aims to testify that small actions can lead to big differences. All funds raised through this campaign will go to the Sponsor A Child program through which we will be in direct communication with an impoverished child who needs our help. Each month a minimum of $28.00 USD (click here for a currency converter) will need to be raised to support Zali, as well as Zali's community. We believe we can achieve and surpass this goal. Money will go to "programs that focus on early ch
