Hi!
I usually just read messages, I hardly ever post, but I just had to this time :D
I had 305 section seats, on the very far left but Coldplay wasn't too small from were we were, tho Guy was blocked by the speakers. It was my first concert (pretty sad considering I'm 19, I know), and I am just so happy it was Coldplay. I've only been a fan since last December, when I bought "Maybe THis Christmas" and I heard the amazing version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Chrstmas" so I decided to get their CDs and been hooked since. Then I saw a broadcast of Glastonbury, when the entire crowd sang Yellow and I've been wanting to go see them live ever since and lined up for hours to get tickets to last nites show.
Well, anyway, the show was just awesome tho I think I was the only one in our section the was bursting with excitement. I didn't think it was possible for me to like them even more, but after last nite, wow. I woke up this morning and started blasting their songs, I can't get enuf.
Every song was amazing, and I thought it was so cute when during Trouble, Chris's voice cracked, everyone was just like "awww." His um, "attempt" to dance was really cute too. I think it's hilarious when he goes crazy on the piano, lol. That comment about the Ozzy concert I thought was funny, cos I wanted to go to that one too (Finger Eleven was opening!!) And also when he changed the words around for Everything's Not Lost (I think...) about the whole SARS thing. I LOVED it when they played What A Wonderful World, I usu. don't like it when ppl mess around with that song, but Coldplay's amazing. It was so cool seeing all those ppl, everyone was there, even ppl that I would never have guessed would like Coldplay.
The highlight was A Rush of Blood to the Head (my fav song by them) and Yellow for me, it's probably the main reason I went to see them. I wanted to be there when the whole crowd sings Yellow all together and well, it was amazing. ANother thing I loved was when Chris came out to sing Gold in Them Hills with Ron Sexsmith in the beginning. I didn't want to leave, I don't think anybody wanted to anyway. I slept in the Coldplay shirt I bought, lol, I know I'm a loser. I'm definitely going again when they come back.
Anyway, sorry this was long. Nobody I know likes them as much as I do, so they weren't as excited as me about this whole thing. It's just that listening to COldplay makes me happy. I know how sappy that sounds but that's all I can think of.
Thanks for reading, lol.
