  1. Well, I was just scimming the coldplay.com message boards when I saw the thread talking about the artwork. It pointed to here, so I wanted to see if I could figure it out myself. I saved a couple artwork pics, then as I was opening them back up it just stood out like a sore thumb. I do some web design myself, and just knew that couldn't be right.
  2. Another quick test to see for yourself if you are running Firefox. Simply right-click the front image and select 'View Image', and you will see it. It is definately not suposed to be there...
  3. Now to really flip your lid. I have found something mysterious on the front page of coldplay.com. If you save the main GIF image, and view it you can see that most of the blue background is transparent, except for two tiny strips between the dashes (between X and &, and between & and Y). I have attached a picture of what it looks like close up: Now that you can see the pixels, there are several rows of 5 in each of them. As I see it, this is not a mix up on the part of the web designer, as everything else on this website is no short of genius. I tried matching this up as code, but didn't get very far. Here is how I decoded it with the ITA2 Baudot chart: T --22-9//55and VQGG OA MBA I have been freaking out for the last hour trying to figure out what it means! Just wanted to make sure if I found some hidden treasure worth free tickets, I would get them, but I am sure it is just something else to toy with our minds. SO I thought the ppl here would appreciate it most. Have at it!
