I dont think this person just made up the date for no reason. Anyway I am a frequent visitor to that site and they are always accurate as far as release dates go. Hopefully I can find some concrete info on the release date. Ill keep you posted.

I just read that Violet Hill will be released May 6th. Only two and a half weeks!

I was just on KROQ's website and noticed that they had an article about Coldplay's upcoming album at the bottom of the page. Honestly, I don't think the album will be called Prospekt, however I think May is a likely time for the album to be released since it is all but finished. Everybody seems to be avoiding the main point of this post which is the 42 minute length of the new album. Does anyone else here agree that releasing an album that is 42 minutes long is ridiculous? I know we are all fans and we try and give the band the benefit of the doubt but but lets be realistic here. Its an absolute joke that in three years all they can give the fans is 42 minutes of new music. Instead of touring all over the universe and doing 1000 interviews maybe they should reserve some time to actually record some music. . I know bands have to tour in support of new albums but they milked every last drop out of X&Y and dont tell me they didnt. They need to record some music that is different from what they have done in the past. I dont want to hear retrends of their old music like they did in the last album. BTW please do not compare Coldplay to Radiohead in your replies. Thanks.

They have such a tough life. All that money, fame, accolades, and perks they get are such a hardship! Gimme a break. They are a band who wanted to make it big and they did and now they have become complacent and bit arrogant. Face the facts. Im not saying all hope is lost but I just dont like the direction they are going in.

Face the facts fans, the band is going in the wrong direction. IMO all the fame and accolades they have received over the years have really gotten into their heads. Not one person can tell me they are the same band they were during A Rush of Blood to the Head era. I know bands, like people, change over time, but they have totally lost their edge, which is what gave them the label the "Greatest Band in the World". They have become a band that is very full of themselves and it showed during the recent X&Y era and it is coming to the forefront now. The entire X&Y album was done is a very lackadaisical manner. Not one person can tell me the album was even close to AROBTTH. For one the lyrics on the album are an absolute joke. Secondly, two of the songs came right off AROBTTH...the Speed of Sound is Clocks 2 and Square One is Politik 2. Coupled with the release of arguably the worst song on the album, The Hardest Part, along with a video that was a complete embarassment is a slap in the face at the fans instead of at the record industry as they wanted us to believe. Even the video to Talk video was embarassing. Now they are releasing an album that took them three years to release with only 42 minutes of music? We as fans should question the direction they are taking before its too late.

I cant believe they gave X&Y only 3 stars!!! It is rare you can listen to an album and like every song on it and this is one of those...yet The Rolling Stone gives it only 3 stars? For them to give the new White Stripes album 4 1/2 stars something is wrong. They obviously dont appreciate good music when they see it. Not to mention Dave Matthews new CD was given 3 1/2 stars!!! I know plenty of Matthews' fans and they all hate the CD. LOL

The old one is better..dont know why they changed it. Just have to get used to the new one by not playing the old one.

thanks for the file but it doesnt sound too clear. i just downloaded ponderbits and recorded an mp3 off the show and its a lot clearer.

ill have no problem recording it and sharing. all i need to know is how to record it. i have some stream recorders but whats troubling me is that it is a flash player.
