Although I was a bit more enthusiastic about the video in general, I share the same sentiment. Now when I listen to the song, when it gets to the part where he swings the light in the vid, I think of that. I'm still kinda confused though as to how safe that was...Swining a bulb that close to people, and the bulb is hot from being on... Anyway, it an alright video..Alot of the people that like it (on other boards) are connecting it to seeing them live and them doing someting similar then, or people are talking about how they were at the Bolton concert and how cool it was. Since I've neve seen them in concert nor was at the Bolton gig, I couldn't really get that feeling, so I didnt have the same experience. ...So I thought that was wack...But I guess it is supposed to inspire you to go see them live, but if you already haven't then it seem more than likely that a lackluster beginning (would be dope if Chris hadn't already walked in "Yellow" and "The Scientist" and if it the video concept wasn't so similar to that U2 song) paired with a simple 'live performance' ending made for an okay video. I love the concept and execution of "Speed of Sound" much much better.

I have yet to get the album, I will this weekend, but I curious if the liner notes and thank you's say anything of interest.

I don't think you can rip off a riff if you readily acknowledge that you have, which they have, in a few different interviews. If they never made mention of it, then yes, but I look at it like an homage.

What's crazy about this tune is that I didn't listen to it for a while...I assume it'd be this slow acoustic number from listening to the first few seconds. Boy was I wrong. I love the violin sounding piano...Or is that a violin? Just a beautiful song all around.

Ah, interesting point. When I typed "Official" I meant as in there would be no other threads about reviews. I'd like to think that thorough reviews from fans would be posted because something like "i love "swallowed"!!!!" isn't helping anyone (not that that isn't a valid opinion though). I guess the poster would have to decide if their review is thorough enough (or if they just posted "i love "swallowed"" that'd be cool too) I know that sounds moderatorish and obviously I am not a mod, but I had the idea that if there alot of different posts about different reviews it would clog the boards so best out everything in an "official" thread. If that makes sense.

Is that okay? If this wants to be deleted then I understand, but I thought there should be a thread just to post reviews of the album, whether it be your own personal one or published ones, and I didn't see one posted already. They are, of course, already starting to come in and will only add in number with it being released soon. I prefer to read track-by-track reviews so if someone had free time, it'd be fun to read those (I'll add mine eventually),

Hmmm, initially I thought "Swallowed" was my favorite (it is SO "singsongy") but "Twisted" is SUCH a monster... Between those two. "What If" follows closely after those two.

that guitar in the second verse is KILLER. very unique and it is what stuck in my head after hearing the song for the first time. you guys know what i speak of?
