It looks like they don't wanna change their "winning formula". They are great @ what they do but if they stick to the same formula even for the next record i think they're limited as a band and chris as a songwriter. Don't get me wrong......i love all their records but the next album must be different!

....along with the album. I'm talking about something like a "limited edition" with stuff like video sessions from the studio and other cool things from the recording sessions. I don't know if its their fault or we can blame EMI for this but GOD DAMMIT even a small band like the feeder give something to their fans (in the new album they got a special dvd ). Coldplay or their label needs to be more down to earth with their fans. What do y'all think ?

I love all their songs but ,in my opinion,they needs to talk about other topics......have you heard the springsteen songs i'm talkin about ?

The next record will be full of "love songs" or chris will be able to take a new direction and write songs about other things ? I love all the 3 albums to death but i think they needs to change the topics of their songs. Chris is an amazing songwriter and the 3 coldplay albums are amazing,in your opinion chris will be able to write DEEP songs like,for example, Empty Sky - You're Missing - My City Of Ruins - Into the fire (bruce springsteen). I'd like to listen to some DEEP records from the coldplay....

As reported online at NME.com COLDPLAY have revealed that they will be playing smaller venues on their next tour as they’re “not BON JOVI quite yet”. The band recently completed their biggest ever UK tour which them headline Glastonbury, play shows at London’s Crystal Palace National Sports Arena as well as appear at Live 8. Singer Chris Martin told NME.COM about the weeks that have seen the group play to hundreds of thousands of people at their gigs and millions on TV across the world. He said: “Well, in all honesty, these concerts have been too big. We listened to advice that we probably shouldn’t have because everything we’ve done has been designed to be played in, like Earl’s Court or whatever.” ”So we’ve done Crystal Palace and everything and we’ve got through it because the fans have been incredible,” Martin added. “But we’re not really a stadium band.” The singer also revealed that Coldplay will be heading indoors when they next go out on the road, saying: “I think all of us feel like when we next come to England – when we next come home – we only want to play indoors. Because we don’t feel we can really make the most of that space yet. It’s all getting very geeky and technological, but we’re not Bon Jovi quite yet.” When asked whether Coldplay would like to become like the New Jersey rockers one day, Martin joked; “I would love to have hair of that volume.”
