  1. I hope you don't take this the wrong way - I'm sorry but it's a bad take, in my opinion. They should always make the music for themselves, perfect it to their taste, and be happy with their work, done in their own way. That we like the songs will be appreciated, but they don't really need it. Especially at this stage of their career. Of course I have my tastes, but I would never feel entitled to tell them how to do their work. In general, not doing what they want will only make the result worse, it's much harder to try your best when you're not doing what you want. This applies to everything in life really.
  2. Exactly this. It would be cool to hear MM demos, but in the future...
  3. It's the best recreation I've heard. Well done to the creator.
  4. I have no idea. It could be fake, but it doesn't sound bad at all. I guess we'll have to wait for those in the know.
  5. Rename this thread to the Spanish-speaking meeting place 😉🖐️ ______________ Has anyone listened to the new Lukas snippet? What do you think?
  6. Once again, thank you a lot for your contributions. Added to first post. I never expected to reach this amount of lyrics. So happy!
  7. Exactly, I don't dislike it at all. Although I would love it if they had included the lyrics from the Live in Jordan version.
  8. I don't want to sound rude. Maybe it's just that I have a different view of what a filler song is, but I think it's unfair to say that Everyday Life has a lot of filler songs. Arguably the only filler on the album is WOTW/POTP, for obvious reasons. There might be songs that are short, or instrumental, or you may not find them interesting, but to suggest that they haven't put effort into making them it's too much...Still, I agree with those of you who think that some of the discarded songs are better than some of the material on the album. The demos are absolutely beautiful.
  9. That is exactly why you shouldn't be hard on yourself for all that has happened. Although historical for those of us who are here, when time passes this will be nothing more than an anecdote. I'm sure we'll have good memories.
  10. My three absolute favourites are Tomorrow, Everyday Story and Until the Water Flows Over. I was going to write honourable mentions, but I realised that I love most of them! Broken, Vitamins, Famous Old Painters (both versions), The Astronaut, Aeterna...
  11. Added all new contributions to the first post. Thank you everyone!
  12. Yeah, at the moment we all have a slight picture of the situation in our heads and it is up to each of us to think what we want to think. Nobody is going to change anybody's mind. All I say is live and let live. Don't persecute anyone, don't harass people, even if you think what they think or do is wrong. It's not that hard.
  13. I like Bani Adam, but I understand your point. The album would definitely have felt more complete with the songs that for some reason they rejected. They must have their reasons and there's not much I can say - they know better than me. But yeah, I hope they release them at some point!
  14. Please stop with the personal attacks. Let each person make their own decisions. I'm the first one who has loved listening to demos and old songs, but going after the person who has them is not cool at all. I hope so, that would be much better than MM songs getting leaked ahead of release... I'm all about preserving history, not the future. There's for example a COTW snippet that I would love to hear in full one day.
  15. That robotic voice instantly brought me back to Apparatjik.
  16. I think that Jupiter snippet is new.
  17. It makes much more sense that way. I don't know why I wrote "feel"... Thanks!
  18. Let them cook! 👨‍🍳👨‍🍳👨‍🍳👨‍🍳👨‍🍳
  19. There are people who complain about everything, sure. But I try to look at it this way: if they're still around it's because they secretly like what they listen to... 😁
  20. Hopefully The Race gets released one day, with the "Whatever it takes" part. I don't like the versions that don't have it, I don't think the song is as good without it.
  21. @Admirice Thank you for coming here to explain your thoughts, and also sharing some knowledge with us. I know what it's like not to be able to sleep because of anxiety. I don't want to imagine what you've been through. And I don't think it's fair to hold anything against you either. Be kind to yourself as you try to move on. I hope you can find peace of mind for your future endeavours.
  22. I would love that. In my opinion, the most purely fun songs were Humankind, POTP and ASFOS. Obviously not their best, but they are amazing live and I had such a great time jumping to them. Also, GPASUYF is to this day one of the best things they've ever done live. I still feel so bad I couldn't make it to the Madrid 2011 concert. I can't say what I would do to hear that version in person.
  23. I have checked that file with the one in this link and I'd swear it is the same: https://coldplaying.com/forums/topic/79539-unreleased-talk-version/ And if you scroll a bit, a comment highlights the problems with the file:
  24. 👍 Give me a minute, I'll try to find something else and I'll upload it.
  25. I won't have access to most of my drives for a while, but on this computer I have Everyday Life in FLAC. If you're interested I can upload it and link it, let me know.
