- what does it mean to be on the guest list?
thanks! im totally thrilled with the seats alone, so it's okay if "guest list" status doesnt mean anything special. anyone else here goin to louisville?- what does it mean to be on the guest list?
im on "coldplay's guest list." my brother designs software for their concerts and got me this exciting package of coldplayness! i guess ill just have to wait until i get there to see what kind of access i have. also, is there a history of needing to be 21 to go to the aftershow party?- what does it mean to be on the guest list?
apparently, i have 2 awesome tickets to the louisville show and am on the guestlist. any special priveledges come from this?- im new, and i feel welcome already
hi! my name's riley; ive kinda liked coldplay ever since ive heard 'yellow,' but i just started to get into them after i heard the new album. ive been reading this message board for about a month now, but i just starting posting today (i was too moved by last night's show in indy not to come on and brag). along with coldplay, im a huge fan of both ryan adams (and the cardinals!) and damien rice.- indianapolis!
heres a review from the local paper http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050813/COLUMNISTS15/508130463&SearchID=73217156202749 Coldplay gives concertgoers a memorable performance U.K. quartet pleases Verizon crowd with a selection of tunes from its current album. When a rock band of Coldplay's stature comes to town, it's reasonable to hope that every song will provide a memory. The U.K. quartet came remarkably close to meeting that standard Friday at Verizon Wireless Music Center, where only "The Hardest Part" slipped past as a throwaway tune. But the other 16 selections burst larger than life, from the confetti-filled balloons that fell during "Yellow" to the tender-then-torrential message of "Fix You." The band's current album, "X&Y," is a collection of advices and encouragements, and "Fix You" towers above the rest with its chorus of "Lights will guide you home and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you." Vocalist Chris Martin called it a night on that note, and surely this song will become the biggest Coldplay hit to date. Earlier, Martin dedicated "The Scientist" to Ben Fillenwarth, an Indianapolis teenager who died in a recent car crash. For a band tagged as "insufferable" by The New York Times, Coldplay managed to present a valuable and healing side of rock 'n' roll. Brotherhood between Martin and guitarist Jon Buckland could be seen when they embraced at the conclusion of "White Shadows," one of "X&Y's" more aggressive efforts. "Low," another "X&Y" track, bettered the studio version by pitting Martin and Buckland on razor-edged guitars against bass player Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion on New Wave beats. Credit the audience of 18,000 for creating an atmosphere at least a bit like the fantastic scenes Coldplay is accustomed to at home. There was clapping in rhythm, singing in unison and photographs taken on cue. It may be true that "X&Y" is engineered for mass appeal and stands as a regression from the adventurous spirit of 2002 album "A Rush of Blood to the Head." But Martin told no lie within "Politik's" impromptu rhyme: "This is a concert you cannot miss, it's Coldplay in Indianapolis." Supporting act Black Mountain played trippy, expansive blues-rock that won't ever be mistaken for a corporate ploy. The Canadian band, signed to Bloomington-based Jagjaguwar Records, impressed thanks to forceful drummer Joshua Wells and fuzz-toned guitarist Stephen McBean. Call Star reporter David Lindquist at (317) 444-6404. i disagree with the reporter; every single song was fantastic, and the hardest part was one of my highlights. id say if i absolutely HAD to pick the weakest song of the night, it would have been speed of sound.- indianapolis!

what a show! there were so many highlights! ill post a setlist later (it really didn't change much from the othet setlists ive seen for the tour), but here are some of my personal highlights: - in politik, "give me lighting, thunder bolts, let me play for the colts" - the awesome stage setup (the big screen in the background) - the balloons (chris wouldnt stop playing yellow until they were all popped, and it took forever to pop them all!) the last one got shoved up onto stage, chris caught it, and threw it back to the drummer who popped it with his stick. - 'til kingdom come/ring of fire (johhny cash)/don't panic all played together at the front of the stage - the hardest part! - the bear on the screen during talk? - good version of clocks, the band just got faster and faster at the end! - swallowed in the sea! - in my place.... holy crap! of course he had the crowd do the chorus, but during the enhd of the song, he ran off stage and into the crowd (escorted by about 8 security guys) and sand right in front of the lawn people! lucky me! - fix you! - what does it mean to be on the guest list?
