  1. I am going to this festival to catch Coldplay! So excited!! I am only going to be in Montreal for (unfortunately) 8ish hours, just to see them! And it'll be some of the best hours of my life! Any tips for first time festival goers?
  2. Bah, ignore my American fund question... I clearly did not look at the website throughly enough! :)
  3. Bah, ignore my American fund question... I clearly did not look at the website throughly enough! :)
  4. Great big kudos to all that worked on getting these made, I'm throughly impressed! I am in LOVE with the messenger bag!! I will have to sleep on the idea of ordering one... I am currently on a Coldplay merchandise shopping spree that (unfortunately) has to end somewhere! My credit card will not be very happy! Are these funds in American, does anyone know?
  5. TELL ME about the withdrawal!!!!!!!! I am actually contemplating booking a flight to Vancouver this Saturday for $550, buying 2 tickets to both shows there this weekend, and calling in sick to work 3 days to see the shows. In my dreams though!! That would be so perfect! Did you not get a CD Jen?? I am trying to upload some photos on Flickr, but it only allows me a certain amount. Any other websites you guys can suggest where I can upload any amount? I'll think about posting up the videos ;)
  6. A little flashback... Soooo..... concert #5 was as amazing as the first four!! Yesterday's show at the MTS center will have people talking about it for ages! Got to the venue JUST before Coldplay came out, cutting it a little close! Seats were directly across from the stage in section 127, right behind the floor. The first few notes of "Life in Technicolor" sounded, and I just started BAWLING!! It's a totally different experience seeing your favorite band playing in your hometown! Cried throughout the entire uplifting first song! All songs were performed so perfectly by all 4 guys, the energy was amazing! The crowd did not stop screaming, and Chris threw in MANY mentions about Winnipeg! My favorite was when he mentioned "Friendly Manitoba" (as per our unofficial logo) :) BEST PART though, was when they walked into the back of the arena, RIGHT INTO MY SECTION. Literally, two rows away!!! I was mindblown, and thanking my lucky stars!!! Pictures I took were incredible, and I made eye contact with Johnny, about 10 seconds. They performed a cute little song pretty much all about Winnipeg with a reference to the Jets, I hope someone out there has a good version of that, I'd like to hear it again! I didn't stop smiling the entire time they were standing in front of me!! A dream come true!! The rainbow butterfly confetti was beautiful, the yellow balloons were uplifting, the rock outs by the band during some of the songs were intense! I'm not going to share any of my videos though, out of sheer embarassment of me screaming throughout the entire video, or my singing along, sometimes off-key LOL! I thought that playing Life in Technicolor II was an EXCELLENT option for the closing song! You just can't go wrong with playing such an uplifiting song to end the show! After it ended, I ran to the barricade between the first bowl and the floor, and asked the security guy to let me through so I could pick up some butterflies. He was going to, but another security guard stopped him and wouldn't let me through. Got into a little argument with her about how rude she was being, definately a mood spoiler! So just for everyone's info, good luck with trying to get your butterflies if not on the floor! Security might be a bitch and not allow you to pass! Leaving the arena, someone started singing the beginning "oooo"s of "Viva La Vida", which prompted a crowd singalong from everone leaving. I love a great crowd that shows their happiness! Winnipeg rocks! As for the free CD, there were volunteers at every exit handing them out, and the crowd wasn't a problem, everyone just waited for their turn to pass through, and were handed a CD. It didn't seem like they were running out anytime soon! So it was an easy process to get the CD! Upset though that they didn't sing "Speed of Sound"!!! I wanted to surprise myself so I didn't read any of the setlists from previous shows, so that was a little bit sad for me! And I would just love love LOVE for them to sing "Yes" at one of the shows. I wish!!!!! On the other hand, I'm a teeny bit glad they didn't do "Chinese Sleep Chant" :P I'm sorry!! I work at the airport, and although I didn't see them or know when they were coming in or out, I heard today from one of the airplane fuelers that they arrived in Winnipeg around 4pm yesterday, and left just after 11pm, right after the show through a smaller private building that isn't connected to the main airport. He heard that they were still sweaty from the concert, since they literally jumped into the car and drove straight to the airport as soon as the show ended. And apparently one of the guys had his shirt off while boarding the plane ;) So the band stayed a little over 7 hours in my little city hahaha! All in all, a terrific, TERRIFIC concert! The men of Coldplay pulled off an AMAZING show that everyone in the crowd, I'm sure, was throughly pleased with!I cannot wait to see them again in Toronto in July!! Will post a few of my better pictures right away!
  7. Oh, and if I manage to get to the floor to grab some butterflies, I'll grab a load and get some for fellow concert-goers that might not be able to get down to the floor! AND DON'T FORGET TO PICK UP YOUR FREE CD ON YOUR WAY OUT!!!
  8. I am counting down the hours until the show!! I am so happy they are finally in home territory for me, this show is that much more meaningful!! I'm bringing a camera in (of course!!) and hope that I get a lot of amazing pictures!! I know my tears will flow once the opening notes of Life in Technicolor starts!! HAHAHAH!
  9. I am a little nervous... I really really want to grab some of the butterflies after the concert, but am worried that I won't be allowed onto the floor by security. If, by any chance, I am not able to grab some, would anyone at the Winnipeg show be able to grab me a handful? Please please please? I would be forever indebted to you!! Let me know? Thanks fans!
  10. Butterflies?? This concert happened AGES ago, I know, I know, but I am looking to see if anyone has any spare butterflies from the St Paul show that they possibly might be able to send me via snail mail? I see all these neat artsy ideas that people come up with with these butterflies, and it's stirring up some ideas in my head and I would love to make a sort of scrapbooky type framed picture to hang at home! At the time, I didn't realize that I should try to run down to the floor after the show and pick some up... bah me! If possible, please email me at [email protected] and let me know? I would forever be indebted to you!!! Thanks!!
  11. I am selling ONE ticket to the Winnipeg show on June 15 for $114 (which is what I paid for it) Section 120 Row 8 Seat 18 Me being the idiot I am, I bought one ticket instead of two together (oh the panic of buying tickets exactly at 10am :S), so I have a spare. If you would like to buy this ticket, or know someone who would like one seat, let me know! You can message me on coldplaying.com or email me at [email protected] Thanks!
  12. Ok, so what's the WORST worst case scenario? Buying 1 ticket instead of 2! YUP! That's how idiotic I am! So I'll be sitting at my computer in a panic again tomorrow morning trying to get some good seats for the show!
  13. I've seen Coldplay twice at the GM Place, once in the 300's and once on the floor (row 40something), and I enjoyed the concert MUCH better from the 300's... you can see everything, and even though it's quite a bit further from the stage, you don't miss out on any of the music or show... and the big screens help too! So sitting in the 300's: not bad at all!
  14. I think it'll be interesting to see how many Minnesotans will come up to Winnipeg to catch this show, considering how many Winnipegers have headed down south to see their concert!
  15. A little far from the side, but you will see them better when they step on the wings of the stage!
  16. I got my seats, first time I checked, section 110, didn't want to see the side of the show, second time, got 234, and got them, might as well, at least this way I can see the whole stage... I'm happy! I wish I had gotten 100 bowl seats though :S Anyone selling 3 together in the 100s, and across from the stage, let me know! Thanks!
  17. This'll be the summer of Coldplay! I'm so excited they are coming to Winnipeg, initial plans were to fly to TO and catch the show there, but I'm gonna do both! Why not!? This'll be a monumental concert for Winnipeg! I love it!
  18. Thank you swingin' strawberry! I'm going to assume you are heading out to TO as well to catch the show? I hope the ticket selection tomorrow morning is not too shabby!
  19. Hello all! Does anyone know, if tickets go on sale on ticketmaster at 12PM EDT, what time would that be in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada? I am assuming it is 11AM EST, could someone help me out perhaps? Bah time zones...
  20. Just a quick question... why does the guy on the side play the guitar for Yellow? I'm just not understanding this right now
  21. I can honestly boast that I have taken 214 pictures at both Vancouver concerts combined, and many of them turned out great!! I will post a few here, but need to find more time to resize all of them! Enjoy these few! BTW, these pictures are from the January 26th show, and my seat was in section 314!! I had a CRAZY good camera!! Yay! Go me!
  22. storm99x replied to jaird's topic in Coldplay Live
I was at both shows, and got SOOOO many pictures!! 214 to be exact!! And I've already weeded out the bad ones! I will definately post when I get them resized and such!! Just need to find the time! Amazing concerts!!
  23. I'll be there both nights! I will take pictures, and hopefully some short videos... unfortunately not the whole concert, but some nonetheless. See all you fans there!
