Clocks album version or Clocks Twisted Logic Tour?
seemingly like a couple of people it was indeed clocks which got me into coldplay all those years ago. back when i were a lad who enjoyed listening to the greats such as 'eminem' and '50 cent'. clocks grew on me and i obtained AROBTTH (illegally of course) and originally praised 'daylight' for being "a bit bassy". then, a few weeks down the line i suddenly realised after hearing yet another monotonous rap number that i preferred listening to coldplay more and more, hell, i even started to like the slow piano ballad 'the scientist'. to bring you (the discerning reader) up to date, i now despise all rap/hiphop/rnb for the disgraceful mysogenistic crap it is, my favourite song is 'amsterdam' and i am myself a travelled singer/songwriter. so, to sum up, yep i do prefer the tour version of clocks if only for the extended intro and outro and the hi-hat tapping in the previously solo piano part after the bridge. thankyou all for reading my abridged musical auto-biography. i was very bored :)

Coldplay DVD/Live CD release in October?
i win! that actually IS my birthday! the whole thing sounds much to vague and analyst-speak to be correct though. as long as we know that its in the pipeline we've nothing to worry about right? the longer the guys spend on it the better itll be! stop wanting it rushed..

Parachutes, AROBTTH, or X&Y
rush of blood - any cd with the scientist , warning sign, amsterdam, green eyes, clocks and god put a smile on has to be the greatest album ever written. give me a challenging conundrum!!

Coldplay songs - Minus and Plus (Game)
+ beautiful piano melody - goes on a bit (no bridge to break it up) solid ground off the cuff live (because the guitar was broken) (if you can find a valid minus point ill give you a tenner!)

Does anyone understand "See You Soon"?
well i think the meaning of see you soon is very literal. basically, this girl 'loses her trust' and wants to 'just be friends' and the guy is distraught so takes to being a bit weird and stalkerish - 'through a telescope lens.., i'll see you soon'. listen to it and it all fits perfectly. OR like in high school poetry appreciation we secretly think the lyrics actually mean jack shit and are only there cause they fit well together. as we'll all admit, mr martin isnt famed as the most talented lyricist.. ta

COLDPLAY SONGS YOU SKIP??
sorry to double post but 'awhisper21' - i think theres a special button built into the very fabric of the white album that allows you to skip 'revolution 9' - damn you yoko!!!!

Sleeping Sun
hey hey chris martin said himself that theyd like to go country in their next album! he was blatently kidding but you have to admit that til kingdom come and sleeping sun - both in X&Y period sort of, are country songs!
-
Sleeping Sun
upon second reading i see that you have actually heard it, just ignore me!! only trying to help and all. as for information, i think this song is just another step in the 'til kingdom come' country music area of coldplay. in the same way the beatles entered a drug inspired phase of music in 1967 which totally changed their sound, coldplay have gone country for 2006!
