Huh... That "Love, Actually" stuff is pretty interesting, but here's what I've heard... this is from Wikipedia:
So, it sounds to me as if they aren't satisfied with the fact that it took them 3 years to get a new album out there. More and more these days, bands are releasing an album a year. Now, sometimes they aren't the best quality, but I've heard some great stuff from bands who have been releasing albums every year, or at least planning too. A lot of bands take too much time recording an album, and come out to release more albums in rapid succession (within a year of each other). One such band is Broken Social Scene. Their sophomore album, You Forgot It In People was released in the middle of 2003, and they planned on releasing another album last November, but it kept being delayed until it was released last October... Now, they are releasing a new album by, or possibly before, next summer. Of course, they also have enough songs recorded to make a new album already, but I think Coldplay probably does too... they just don't want to.
Anyways, it sounds like they'd like to start getting out more albums, while maintaining the quality, so if they plan to stick with this, and record while on the road, I don't think it's unrealistic to expect another album before 2007. I just hope the album isn't completely devoid of piano... that would suck. I would hope that if they were going to wait another 3 years to release an album, they should release a B-Sides album in the meantime, for the fans sake.[/b]
