Crunchie

Ok.....My name is Paul, but my friends call me Crunchie (because once they decided if I wore brown, I'd look like a Crunchie bar - don't ask!) and I live in Belfast. Em, seen Coldplay 5 times. First heard them on Steve Lamacq about 7 years ago (whenever Shiver was out or something) and loved what I heard - stuck with em ever since! I'm also into Travis in a big way, I love them! Other musical influences are Pink Floyd, The Doors, Hal, Neil Young, The Verve, etc etc. I say influences, because......... I play the guitar, and have been since I was 8 (I'm now 19). Started out playing Classical and then moved into more "popular" stuff. I own a Fender Telecaster electric (my pride and joy) and a Yamaha CPX-5 acoustic. I'm in Paisley just outside Glasgow for Uni. Really enjoying it. Just finished semester 1 of 2nd year and I'm at home for christmas (hence seeing Coldplay in Belfast on wednesday! That's all I can really think of for now, so Hi! PS. I used to go on the Damien Rice message board loads, so I know pretty much how these things go - although over there it was like "oh I'm Damien's biggest fan and no one else is allowed to like him" kinda thing, which pissed me off - so I hope I like it better here PS. I said "newbie" in the title because as i've said, i've liked coldplay for years, and i'm only new to this forum
